In March 2017, under consultancy authorised by iMed, Carpe Diem Elixir supported the rollout, operational coordination, management, monitoring, and study reporting activities associated with the Medical Therapy System (MTS) pain management initiative in Gujarat, India.
In 2017, Carpe Diem Elixir supported the rollout of a structured pain management initiative in Gujarat using the Medical Therapy System (MTS), a multi-modal therapeutic technology evaluated across a broad range of musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions. The interim clinical research programme involved 46 patients across 16 different medical conditions over an initial three-month evaluation period between June and August 2017. The initiative focused on assessing improvements in pain reduction, swelling, activities of daily living (ADL), and range of movement (RoM) following structured MTS treatment sessions. Initial findings demonstrated encouraging outcomes across several treatment categories, particularly in tendinopathy, muscular distraction, and arthropathy-related conditions. Significant improvement was observed in a majority of cases, with higher response rates generally seen in acute conditions compared with chronic degenerative pathologies. The programme also demonstrated a strong safety profile during the interim evaluation phase, with no reported adverse events across 378 completed MTS treatment sessions. The initiative was later presented within regional wellness and healthcare symposium settings and contributed to early experience in deploying structured healthcare technologies within Indian clinical environments.
